“Isn't it odd how much fatter a book gets when you've read it several times?" Mo had said..."As if something were left between the pages every time you read it. Feelings, thoughts, sounds, smells...and then, when you look at the book again many years later, you find yourself there, too, a slightly younger self, slightly different, as if the book had preserved you like a pressed flower...both strange and familiar.”

Teaser Tuesdays! (Dec 31)

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title and author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Today’s teaser sentences come from a new book I received in the mail just yesterday. The book is The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd. I have just started reading this book, but I believe that this is going to be a great story and a wonderful read.

Then I heard Mother’s can tap the glass on the upstairs window, and Tomfry lifted his tired eyes toward the sound. He nodded and brought the lash down across Handful’s back.

LEAVE A COMMENT with the link to your Teaser Tuesday post from your current read, or share your "teasers" in a comment here.

Thank you for joining me for Teaser Tuesdays and have a great reading week!
